Olympic Updates on 630 The Fan
Lars Baron
The 2018 Winter Olympics are about to begin in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Once again it's that time when we all become fanatical bobsled, snowboarding, skating and skiing fans! Idaho will have seven athletes in South Korea and chances are most of the state can't name one! None the less they can come home sporting hero's with a medal. It's all about team USA against the world and while we may not ever even consider watching curling or cross country skiing at any other time, the Olympic window isn't one of those times. That's why 630 The Fan will bring Olympic updates three days a day Monday-Friday during the Olympics. We'll keep you posted on our local athletes, the medal count, inspirational stories and whatever may unfold over the next few weeks. The opening ceremonies are Friday and will be held outdoors. The forecast is for temperatures of near zero during the three hour event. Our 630 The Fan updates will air at 8:30am, 12:30pm and 4:30pm every weekday. Be sure and download the 630 The Fan app to listen live anytime on your phone. The app is free and a great way to follow the Olympics plus all the local sports news from Boise State, Idaho Vandal basketball or high school sports. Go team USA and 630 The Fan!.
