Your mission over the weekend was to get the kiddos Halloween costumes perfected, right? Congrats on "mission accomplished!" Now onto the next plan of action, finding the best trick or treat route in your neighborhood!

My fiance and I live in an apartment complex that's full of young families (trust me, we see ALL the kids at the pool in the summer) and I can't help but to feel a little bad for them come Halloween time.  Why? Because no one in the complex hands out candy!

Luckily, we're not too far from some bigger subdivisions where these parents can take their minis to load up on Skittles, Snickers and Sour Patch Kids!  And thanks to Nextdoor, it's easier than ever for those parents to know which homes to take their ghouls and goblins to! Nextdoor just reactivated their "Treat Map" for 2017!

Members of the FREE social network for neighborhoods, can check-in and say whether or not they plan on handing out goodies this year.  If they select that they are, their home turns into a piece of candy corn on the "Treat Map" of the neighborhood.  There's also an option for neighbors to say they're hosting a neighborhood haunted house as well.  Selecting that option turns your home into a scary looking haunted mansion on the map!

I took a look around our neighborhood "Treat Map" and those kiddos that live in our apartment complex are in luck.  There's a subdivision a block over from us where a lot of homes are passing out candy!
