Four 5A Valley Teams Earn State BB Tournament Berths
Centennial and Mountain View secured their way into the boys 5A state basketball tournament March 2nd-4th with wins on Tuesday night.
Centennial; struggled late in the season but behind Brooks Kings 24pts and Delveion Jackons 24pts beat Capital 73-58 to advance to state.
Meantime Mountain View stopped Borah 69-56 to earn their spot at state. Cameron Howard had 23 pts as the Mavericks improved to 16-7 on the year.
Centennial and Mountain View join Rocky Mountain and Boise headed to the state tournament next week. Rocky Mountain the #1 seed and Boise the #2 seed from 5A District 3 collide Friday night for the district championship at Capital High.

In 4A District 3 basketball Bishop Kelly and Middleton earned state tournament berths and will meet for the district championship Thursday at 7:30 at Ridgevue High School.
Bishop Kelly beat Vallivue 52-42 while Middleton topped Skyview 52-44 in semi final action.
