The Idaho Steelheads pulled off a sweep in Utah beating the Grizzlies three in a row including a 1-0 thriller on Presidents Day as Idaho goalie Landon Bow stopped 43 Utah shots to post his first shutout as a professional goalie.

Bow has been nothing short of fantastic the last 14 ECHL starts posting 12-1-1 record. The 43 saves against Utah are the most in a game this season.

Bow is a pretty impressive figure in the net, his 6 foot 5 inch frame at 210lbs doesn't leave much of an opening for opponents to put the puck in the net. Bow could well be a rising star in hockey. He was signed by the Dallas Stars, began this season with the Texas Stars of the AHL before coming to Boise and the Steelheads.

Idaho is now 29-17-7 with the three game sweep just nine points behind division leading Colorado.

The sweep in Salt Lake is huge because the Steelies still have five road games remaining before they return home. Friday Idaho will be at Missouri the first time the Steelheads have ever played at Missouri. The Mavericks are in next to last place in the Mountain Division of the Western Conference..
