Boise State Women Again No.1 in Basketball
Yesterday the Boise State women's basketball teams received 15 points in the AP Media poll to start the season ranked 32nd in the country.
Today for the third year in a row BSU has been ranked number one in the Mountain West preseason poll.
Boise State received 25 of 29 first place votes. The Broncos have gone 30-6 in league play the last two seasons and have won 29 of their last 31 conference games.
Meantime, Braydey Hodgins is the preseason player of the year, Mallory McGwire the new comer of the year and Riley Lupfer and was named first team All-Mountain West.
The Broncos, who have been to the NCAA Tournament four of the last five years will be part of the preseason WNIT this season starting November 8th when BSU hosts Portland State the reigning Big Sky champion.
The Boise State women play Concordia in an exhibition game Saturday at Extra Mile Arena 4 pm. They open the regular season next Tuesday at 5:30 pm against Lewis-Clark State, part of a doubleheader with the men playing Life Pacific at 7:30pm.
