Women Rule at Boise State
When the Boise State women's volleyball team won the Mountain West title last year and earned the first ever NCAA tournament berth in school history, little did anyone realize it was the beginning of a championship trend in women's athletics at Boise State.
Now the Bronco basketball team is headed to the NCAA tournament after winning the Mountain West post season tournament by upsetting the leagues top seeded team, Colorado State. In fact, this is the Broncos second trip to the NCAA's in the last three years.
The Boise State gymnastics team is ranked #10 in the country and last week upset #8 Denver. In fact, Boise State has been ranked as high as #7 this year as they eye regional play and a chance for their first ever team trip to the NCAA's.
The BSU softball season is young but already the Broncos are 17-5 and over the weekend they went undefeated in a tournament in California. In fact against Quinnipiac the Broncos set team records for runs, hits and doubles in a game with a 25-12 win, 22 hits and 7 doubles.
Success is contagious and it seems everyone in the women's athletic program has caught it!
