Top Prep Basketball Teams Continue to Rock
As the stretch run of the high school basketball season begins the players remain the same with three 5A SIC teams doing battle in girls hoops and a pair of boys teams simply dominating the competition.
Tuesday night in 5A SIC girls action Mountain View beat Boise 47-38. The Lady Mavs now 8-2 in league play, Boise 9-2 and Timberline sits atop the standings at 10-1. The three ended 2019 as the top three teams in the state and they begin 2020 the same way.
Boys 5A SIC play on Tuesday saw Rocky Mountain dominate Capital 70-30 and Borah crushed Skyview 51-19. The Grizzlies and Lions are the top two teams in Idaho.
Meantime the Meridian Warriors gave noticed they'll need to be reckoned with following a 73-65 win over Eagle Tuesday. The Warriors are now 6-1 in league, hanging right in there with Rocky and Borah.
Meridian will be featured in Fridays McDonald's game of the week on 105.5 The Fan when they play at Boise. The Brave suffered a setback Tuesday losing 48-32 to Timberline. Boise is now 3-3 in SIC play and 6-3 overall compared to Meridian's 9-1. Tip off Friday on 105.5fm The Fan will be at 7:30pm.
