Rocky Mountain, Kuna and Homedale Football All Number One
Treasure Valley high school football teams dominated this weeks media football polls. In 5A Rocky Mountain leads the way, Kuna is the leader in 4A and Homedale sets the standard i n the 3A standings.
Rocky Mountain has won 15 straight games dating back to last year. The defending state 5A Champions are 3-0 as is second ranked Eagle. The Grizzlies and Mustangs don't play each other until October 18 at Rocky.
The 4A standings this year have been a roller coaster of change. Kuna is currently atop the standings but are followed closely by Nampa, Bishop Kelly and Vallivue with Middleton tied for 5th with Hillcrest of Idaho Falls.
In 3A Homedale leads the way with Weiser third.
Week four of the high school football season begins Thursday with Centennial-Timberline at Dona Larsen Park. Kickoff is 7pm and it will be our McDonald's game of the week on 630 The Fan. Both teams are coming off wins last Friday. Centennial is 2-1 and Timberline 1-2 but riding sky high after scoring 20 points in the final two minutes to beat Meridian 26-25 and snap a 12 game losing skid.
