Idaho’s Taylor Pierce to Showcase 3-Point Shooting Talent
Idaho Vandal standout Taylor Pierce set a single season NCAA record for most three point shots made with 154 this past season and has been invited to the women's basketball final four to compete in the 3-Point Championships Thursday night in Minneapolis.
The All-Star event also includes a slam dunk contest and 24 of the nations elite men's and women's players will compete.
Pierice, who finished her career with six three pointers in a 68-60 loss to Arizona in the WNIT round of 16, made a Big Sky and Idaho record 472 career 3-pointers tying for second most in NCAA history.
Thursdays event will be televised on ESPN at 7 p.m. and is the tip off to Final Four week for the women with UCONN vs. Notre Dame and Baylor vs. Oregon on Friday.
