High School Football Week Six
Week six of the high school football season is already upon us with Eagle beating Timberline 41-8 Thursday night at Dona Larsen Park. Eagle is now 4-2 while Timberline drops to 0-6.
Tonight top rated Rocky Mountain will host Meridian. The Grizzlies are 5-0 and this week took over the number one spot in 5A Idaho prep football.
Meantime there is a log jam at 3-2 including Capital and Skyview who collide tonight at Skyview. It's our Taco Bell game of the week at 7 p.m. on Sports Radio 630 The Fan.
Mountain View is also 3-2 and they play at Centennial tonight. As mentioned, Eagle was 3-2 as well but got the job done last night to improve to 4-2.
Meantime the week 5 statistic are out and here are some of the leaders:
Team offense: Rocky Mountain 41.8 points per game, Skyview 39.8 ppg and Coeur d'Alene 39.6 ppg.
Team Defense: Rocky Mountain allowing just 106 ppg.
Rushing: Nick Romano of Rocky Mountain with 104 yards per game and 15 touchdowns.
Receiving: Wade Carpenter of Skyview 7 td's and 15.3 yards per catch
Tackles: Dylan Martinez Mountain View with 14.4 per game
Sacks: Joey Quitugua Capital 6
Passing: Dane Koch Centennial 14 td's 1,404 yards, Wyatt Storer Skyview 13 td's 1,374 yards and Jake Standlee Borah 13 td's and 1,199 yards.
