It's called Albertson's Stadium but inside folks come to see Lyle Smith field.

Coach Smith spent some 35 years as coach and athletic director at Boise Junior College now Boise State University and the 100 year young icon remains a common visitor to the BSU campus.

Recently however Coach Smith fell after an ear infection caused him to become dizzy and that's when former players and fans decided to do something.

Dan Lukehart, who played on the Broncos 1980 championship team started a Go Fund Me page to raise money for a powered wheel chair. Quickly $4,000 dollars was raised and coach was presented his new chair.

You have to understand, Coach Smith likes to get around by himself so the wheel chair will take some getting used too but he's already offering to take folks for a ride. I word of caution though, coach has a tendency to go a little too fast!

Coach Smith turns 101 on March 17th and says when the time comes he doesn't need the chair anymore it'll go to another Bronco in need saying, "You have to keep it in the family."
