No Surprises as Week 7 of High School Football is Underway
Week seven of the high school football season began Thursday with several games:
Capital beat Boise at Donna Larsen Park 49-17. Capital is now 3-0 in POD A a half game ahead of Mountain View who hosts Meridian tonight on 630 The Fan at 7 p.m. Tavita Reupena rushed for three first half touchdowns to lead Capital.
Rocky Mountain rebounded from a 7-6 loss to Borah last week to beat Kuna 42-14. Carter Kuehl rushed for 207 yards and two touchdowns as the Grizzlies improved to 5-2.
Eagle held of a late Centennial run to beat the Patriots 35-28. The Mustangs led 35-14 before things got interesting. Eagle now 3-0 in POD B, 6-1 overall.
Skyview, the #1 team in 4A beat Mountain Home 69-41. It was a wild game in which Skyview quarterback Wyatt Storer and Mykall Castillo of Mountain Home combined to throw 11 touchdown passes. Skyview led 35-7 before Mountain Home got some offense going.
Again tonight it's #1 Mountain View hosting Meridian in our Taco bell game of the week. Both are 2-0 in POD A although the Warriors are 3-3 overall compared to the Mavericks 6-0 mark.
