Steelheads Skate for MS
The Idaho Steelheads return home from their longest road trip of the season to host Cincinnati Friday night and the game will be special.
Special because it is a fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Admission for the game is $15 but five dollars of that will be donated directly to MS research, education and programs for families of those with MS.
In addition, your ticket Friday also gets you a hot dog, bag of chips and a small drink.
Not only is this a great opportunity to give but the Steelheads are on a roll after winning 7 of their 8 road games. The Steelheads also plan a Sunday event called free skate day from 1 to 3 p.m.
Players, coaches and event the mascot, Blue, will be on hand to sign autographs, take pictures and skate a few laps. Fans are encourage to bring their own skates but there will be a limited number of skates available on a first come basis.
Also, if you bring a canned food for the Idaho Food Bank you'll received two tickets to the Steelheads game March 15th against Rapid City.
The Steelheads are back in town for what should be a fun interactive weekend of hockey, fundraising and a chance for fans to skate on the Century Link ice.
