The Boise State men's basketball team took time out for a team picture today before practicing and leaving for the Mountain West post season tournament in Las Vegas. Boise State opens Thursday night at 9:30 mst against the winner of Wednesdays first round game between UNLV and San Diego State.

Head coach Lon Rice says he thinks Las Vegas is a perfect location for the tournament except for the fact the last team in the league, UNLV, has home court advantage. He may have mentioned that because if UNLV can pull a first round upset the Broncos would be next.

Rice also told 630 The Fan he felt the way BSU won Saturdays game at Air Force they are ready for tournament action and playing at peak performance. BSU sank a conference tying record 20 three point shots in a 98-70 win. Rice says the three pointers were made because they were the right three pointers created by great passing and team work.

As expected, Rice was somewhat disappointed that junior Chandler Hutchinson was a 2nd team All-Mountain West selection according to the media. The coaches poll will be released tomorrow. Hutchinson averaged nearly 18ppg and 8rb's a contest and had 5 double-doubles on the season..
