Oliver to Leave Oregon Ducks Football
Brian Bahr
Khalil Oliver is a former 5A SIC defensive player of the year from Rocky Mountain High School and All-Idaho defensive back who was wooed and recruited by many but chose to play for the Oregon Ducks of the Pac-12.
Oliver was hurt in Oregon's first game this year and hasn't played since and now comes the word he will transfer after he graduates this winter.
Oliver said he made the decision after talking to his family and that it is best for him and his future to move on from the university. Oliver would have two years of eligibility at whatever school he decides to attend. Right now Oliver hasn't mentioned and possibilities. First Oliver wants his degree and his official release before making any announcement where he might play in 2018.
He played in 23 games for Oregon, registering 73 tackles. You may recall Oliver first committed to Boise State and then de-committed when then Bronco coach Chris Petersen left BSU for the Washington Huskies.
Could that mean a return to Boise? Oliver says he has talked with several schools and will announce a decision when the time is right.
