Atlanta QB Matt Ryan has some football history in Boise. Of course Ryan is not thinking about the Boise Blue as he prepares for Sundays Superbowl in Houston against the New England Patriots but thought it might be interesting to remember the day Matt Ryan strolled into Boise and helped snap the Broncos 31 game home wining streak.

Ryan was the QB for Boston College when the Eagles played Boise State in the 2005 MPC Computers Bowl, now the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. BC was #19 in the country and played like it jumping to a 27-0 lead. Ryan threw three touchdown passes in the first half.

Boise State rallied however and with just over one minute to play BC led BSU 27-21. The Broncos moved the ball to the BC 5-yard line with :37sec to play but on second and goal Bronco QB Jared Zabransky was intercepted and it was game over.

Dan Hawkins lost his final game on a play reportedly called from the booth by assistant coach Chris Petersen. Well, life goes on as Petersen is doing pretty well at Washington and Matt Ryan, he's a Superbowl quarterback.
