Jaylon Henderson Listed as Top Boise State QB
The Boise State depth chart came out today for Saturdays Mountain West Championship game against Hawaii and Jaylon Henderson is listed as the Broncos number one quarterback!
That may not sound surprising given what Henderson has done the last three games but during that run, on every depth chart released by Boise State, Hank Bachmeier was listed as the number 1 QB.
Boise State seldom changes a depth chart because of a non-season ending injury but apparently Henderson has more than earned the honor to be listed on top.
Bachmeier and Chase Cord follow in that order. Henderson has now started and won three games, he's completed just over 61% of his passes, 64 of 104 completions for 820 yards with 1 int.
Another interesting factoid is Henderson has thrown 9 touchdown passes this season, Bachmeier has thrown 9 td passes and Chase Cord has thrown for 9 touchdowns!
Boise State hosts Hawaii this Saturday at 2pm for the Mountain West Championship, a 12-1 record and a chance for a New Years Six Bowl invite to the Cotton Bowl.
If that is to happen most believe Cincinnati has to beat Memphis on Saturday or maybe if Memphis wins another close one and Boise State wins big.
The Broncos have beaten six eligible bowl teams this year, including a 10-2 Air Force team now ranked 25th. Memphis has beaten just three bowl eligible teams and when all the dust has settled after this weekend, that might be the final criteria the peeps from the College Football Bowl Selection committee use to decide a Cotton Bowl opponent for who some are saying will be Alabama.
