The Coyotes had 25 first downs, Ottawa 24 and total offense was 547 yards for the Yotes 489 for the Spirit. Not until you get to the rushing yards do you get an idea of how the College of Idaho came to dominate this first round NAIA playoff game Saturday in Caldwell.
Coyotes rushing 359 yards, Ottawa 106. Thus the final score of 70-23 College of Idaho becomes much more clear as the Coyotes simply ran the Spirit out of town!
Now 11-0, no.5 ranked College of Idaho heads into uncharted football waters Saturday as they travel to Des Moines , Iowa to face 4th ranked Grand View.
Vikings (12-0), earned a 31-30 victory over Concordia (Mich.) in their first-round match-up.
The College of Idaho win streak now stands at 17 games. Combined C.of I. and Grand View are 23-0 on the year so as they say, something has to give.
