Hawks Win Wild Game With Walk-off Single
The nice thing about minor league baseball is you never know what is going to happen on a given night.
Monday was such a night as the Boise Hawks and Everett Aquasox combined for 15 runs in the first three innings.
As the teams headed to the 9th inning Boise led 10-9 and there was no reason to think that would be the final score.
True to the game Everett scored in the top of the 9th to tie the game 10-10.
It was the Hawks turn in the bottom of the inning and they responded with a pair of base runners and then an RBI walk-off single from L.J Hatch to seal the deal at 11-10.
The win certainly helped to make the overnight bus ride to Hillsboro a tad more bearable. The Hawks and Hops play at Hillsboro tonight-Thursdays with Boise returning home Friday night to host the Tri City Dust Devils.
