Boise State is The Team to Beat!
Once again nothing shocking from the foot ball media days in Las Vegas. Once again for the 8th straight year the Broncos have been voted to #1 team in the pre-season Mountain Division poll, this time unanimously receiving all 22 first place votes.

1. Boise State (22) 2. Wyoming 3. Colorado State 4.Utah State 5.Air Force 6.New Mexico
As for the West Division it was a battle for first place between Fresno State and San Diego State. The Bulldogs got the nod with 16 first place votes to 6 for the Aztecs.

There was also voting for the pre-season players of the year and Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien is the offensive player, Avery Williams of the Broncos is the special teams player of the year and Andrew Wingard of Wyoming the defensive player.
Rypien is just the second Boise State player to be named pre-season offensive player of the year in the Mountain West, the other was Kellen Moore in 2011.
