ESPN Are You Kidding Me?
Michael Shroyer
As a child my mother was more mad at me for an unsatisfactory in "respects the rights of others" than she was a low grade in math on my report card.
The problem is report cards don't grade respect anymore maybe because we've become so politically correct it's become more about saying the right things than doing the right thing.
ESPN just pulled an announcer off a University of Virginia football game broadcast because his name is Robert Lee. Not the Robert E. Lee the confederate general but Robert Lee the broadcaster.
ESPN wants to be considerate of the confederate issues currently making headlines but is this considerate or just plan stupid?
Do I really have to ask that question? It's plain stupid and taking something to a whole new level of political correctness nonsense.
Get over yourself ESPN, let your employees do their job and concentrate on the game of football.
