Boise State Football: 17 Straight Bowls And Counting
The success of Boise State football includes the post season as well as the regular season. The Broncos are 12-6 All-Time in bowl games including three Fiesta Bowl Titles and a 4-0 record in the Las Vegas Bowls with wins over Pac 12 foes like Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Arizona State.
This year a new venue for Boise State as they travel to Dallas, Texas for the First Responders Bowl December 26th against Boston College to be played in the original Cotton Bowl.
This will be the 17th straight bowl appearance for Boise State the best among the Group of 5 schools with only five Power Five teams having played in more consecutive bowl games and those are Oklahoma, Florida State, Georgia, LSU and Virginia Tech.
Ironically Boise State beat Oklahoma in their Fiesta Bowl meeting and also has regular season wins over Georgia and Virginia Tech.
In fact, since 2000 Boise State has won 83.5% of their games and that's No.1 in the country followed by Ohio State 83% and Oklahoma 81.8%. In games at home since 2000 Boise State has won 92.6% of the time, also tops in the nation.
Bryan Harsin is 3-1 in bowl games as the head coach at Boise State. The only loss was to Baylor in the 2016 Cactus Bowl.
