Austin Bolt Signs With Boise State
Austin Bolt of Borah was the SIC football player of the year, The Idaho football player of the year as voted on by the coaches, the Gatorade Player of the year and the Northwest Football player of the year which includes Idaho, Oregon and Washington, has decided to play his collegiate football at Boise State.
Bolt, who accounted for 46 touchdowns this past season and played as many as six positions told The Fan his decision came down to the Broncos, Utah State and UNLV but in the end his heart has always been set on playing for Boise State.
Bolt says the Broncos want to use him as a receiving tight end and that he is happy the decision has finally been made claiming it was only slightly harder to face the big crowd today for his announcement at Borah High.
This is a big win for Boise State as they get to claim not only the top football player in the Gem State but the entire Northwest.
By the way, Bolt also stars for the Borah basketball team, he scored 34 points in a game against Madison broadcast on The Fan and we will get to see him again a week from this Friday when no.1 ranked Borah hosts 2nd ranked Rocky Mountain in the McDonald's game of the week.
