630 The Fan has finalized it's 2017 schedule of "live" high school football broadcasts and what a season it is shaping up to be.

Our opening game August 25th will feature Mountain View, the defending state 5A championships at Eagle. The Mustangs are once again picked to contend for the title and with the game at Eagles Thunder Stadium, the Mavericks could not have picked a tougher opponent or place to play it's season opener.

September 1st we'll feature Bishop Kelly at Borah. These two schools are less than one mile from each other and it's a natural born rivalry that always entertains.

How about a cross state showdown on September 8th when the Highland Rams of Pocatello come to Donna Larsen Park to face the Capital Eagles. Capital was the State 5A runner-up last year and they are loaded again. Highland is a perennial power that always has a chance to win a championship and what a test this game will be for them.

So how can it get better? On September 15th it will be Rocky Mountain at Mountain View that's how. These two played for the title in 2015, both are from Meridian and this is a game both teams have marked on the calendar every year.

On Friday September 22nd we to Emmett where the Huskies will host the Skyview Hawks. This will be an outright battle. Emmett's power running game against the passing of Skyview who won this years Famous Idaho Potato Bowl 7on7 passing contest featuring 25 teams.

This is where the schedule make take a turn defending on how teams are doing. Once again Taco Bell is the title sponsor for our game of the week and we are committed to broadcasting the best possible showdown on a given Friday.

We also like broadcasting every possible team we can and on the 29th of September we are schedule to broadcast Boise at Meridian. It'll be our first look at either team and on pre-season paper it appears to be a great matchup.

October begins with Timberline at Borah on the 6th. The T-Wolves have a new head coach this year and we wanted to make sure they made our broadcast schedule. It is a game that could well have playoff implications for both.

October 13th it'll be Eagle at Rocky Mountain. The Grizzlies just lost their head coach Scott Criner to Eagle who made the move to become Eagles athletic director. Emotions will be high and we'll be there to bring you the action.

The regular season comes to a close with a dandy. A repeat of the state 5A tittle game with Capital at Mountain View. Are you kidding me? what a schedule and we'll have it all right here on 630 The Fan.

By the way we can always use help making these broadcasts possible. If you'd like to become a sponsor contact me at 630thefan.com.

Fall practice for high school sports begins August 7th and that's just around the corner.
