With an impressive 41-14 win over the Utah State Aggies, Boise State is in the driver's seat for the Mountain Division's spot in the Mountain West Championship Game.  That win also made the Broncos bowl eligible for the 16th straight season.

With three Fiesta Bowl titles to their name, Boise State has a pretty awesome history in the post season. So, with a record of 6-2 and a win over a Top 25 opponent season this year, where could the Broncos go bowling this year? Here's a few predictions.

December 16th: Las Vegas Bowl vs UCLA

Boise State is no stranger to the Las Vegas Bowl.  In fact they won it three consecutive years (2010-2012) under Coach Pete. CBS Sports projects that the Broncos could be back in Sin City this year taking on the now 4-4 UCLA Bruins out of the Pac-12. The Bruins most interesting win this year was a 1-point victory over the Texas A&M Aggies during Week 1.

Sports Illustrated also has the Broncos in the Las Vegas Bowl, but under their projections we'd be playing Pac-12 opponent Arizona State who stunned Coach Pete and the Washington Huskies 13-7.  That sent the Huskies tumbling in the rankings and likely out of playoff contention.  If a BSU vs ASU match-up sounds familiar, it's because we played (and beat) Arizona State in the 2011 Maaco Bowl Las Vegas.

December 22nd: Famous Idaho Potato Bowl vs Northern Illinois

This projection comes from the folks at Bleacher Report. On one hand, this would probably be the best attended Famous Idaho Potato Bowl since the game at Albertsons Stadium adopted that name.  On the other hand, the Potato Bowl is widely regarded as one of those bowl games that gets lost in the shuffle of the 39 games being played over the few weeks of the college football post season.  The Northern Illinois Huskies (out of the MAC) currently have the same record as the Broncos (6-2) and share a common win over previously ranked San Diego State Aztecs.

The Broncos played their bowl game at home three times back when the game was called the Humanitarian Bowl.  They won all three games in 1999, 2000 and 2002.

Up Next

Of course all of this is dependent on Boise State continuing to dominate the Mountain West.  Up next? Nevada on Saturday at Albertsons Stadium! Kick-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. and its also homecoming, so make plans to check out the parade at 2 p.m!
