Boise State defensive back Tyler Horton who scooped up a loose ball and ran it in for a touchdown last Saturday against Air Force, spent part of his day Tuesday talking with the Boise media.

Horton is from Fresno where Boise State will play Fresno State this weekend and the obvious question was how fun it'll be to go home?

After saying Fresno is a beautiful area Horton added... but there's a tough element to Fresno and that's what he grew up with. Horton telling us he lost some friends to gang related activity. That he was woken by his "Pops", as he calls his Dad to be told his friend had ben shot.

Horton then thanked the Boise State coaching staff for giving him this opportunity to be a Bronco. To play on scholarship and get away from a life he wasn't sure in what direction he'd go if it weren't for football.

Horton said it will be great to see family but he's totally focused on the game and the gratitude he has for the opportunity and challenge to be a part of Boise State football.

Horton says you can never give up and that's why after a rough first half at Colorado State he was able to shut down the Rams top receiver in the second half and eventually recover a game winning fumble in overtime to seal the deal.
