Play Ball…State Tournament Baseball Time!

The 5A and 4A Idaho State Baseball Tournaments will be held this week in the Treasure Valley with 5A at Memorial Stadium in Boise and 4A action at Vallivue.

Five of the eight teams in the 5A tournament are from the Boise metro area including top seeded Mountain View ranked number one in the state all season long. The Mavericks open at Memorial Stadium Thursday morning 10 a.m. against Madison.

Here is the 5A opening round schedule for Thursday at Memorial Stadium:

Madison vs. Mountain View 10am, Lewiston vs. Eagle 1pm, Highland vs. Capital 4:30pm and Rocky Mountain vs. Boise 7:15pm

The winners play in the Friday 4:30 pm and 7:15 pm time slots with the title game Saturday at 7 p.m.

Kuna and Bishop Kelly are the only local teams in the 4A State Baseball Tournament at Vallivue. Kuna plays Bonneville of Idaho Falls Thursday at 10 a.m. and Bishop Kelly faces Burley at 7 p.m.

Meantime, Lakeland vs. Minico at 1 p.m. and Twins Falls vs. Idaho falls at 4 p.m. Thursday.

The 4A tittle game will be Saturday at 4 p.m..
