A Spud-tacular event is coming to Meridian in September, and you're going to all Mashed about it. 

Potato Days is coming to Meridian at Kleiner Memorial Park on September 22 & 23. Yes, it's all about the potato baby! The event will celebrate the famous Idaho potato. There will be food, live music provided by the Boise Rock Schoo, carnival games, chalk art, and a bubble garden for the little. 

Potato Days will have a huge potato art installation featuring chalk art from 60 local artists. You can watch them in action on Friday, September 22, from 5 pm to 8 pm. 

What else can you expect? 

Food trucks and vendors will be onsite Saturday with 15 food trucks and 20 vendors, with all food trucks who serve genuine Idaho Potatoes featuring a Grown in Idaho seal. The Big Idaho Potato Truck will be on location for you to snag a picture with friends, family, and an excellent opportunity to figure out if the 4-ton potato is real or not.

Do you like playing carnival games? 

There will be over 20 potato-themed games for you to play. You'll win tickets and then can redeem locally donated prizes. Games you can play include limbo, balloon juggling, bottle flipping, corn hole, potato sack races, potato trick shot, and more. 

Enjoy music, the Scouts BSA Potato Derby, and you can't have a potato celebration without having Spuddy Buddy. The internationally famous mascot will also be hanging out at Kleiner Memorial Park.

Did you miss the potato drop? 

Not a problem. The OG potato from the Idaho potato drop will be there for you to view up close, and if you have kiddos, the perfect place for them will be the bubble garden. At Potato Days in Meridian, they will have a bubble garden where children can dance, twirl, and blow bubbles.
