The First Idaho Drug Bust In 2024 Included WHAT?

New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are arguably one of the busiest times for our first responders, especially police and state troopers. They do a lot to keep us and our roads safe and because of their consistency, police made Idaho's first drug bust of 2024... two days into the year.

Kootenai County Sheriff's Office Makes A Massive Bust

Kootenai County Sheriff's Office made a massive drug bust in the "early hours" of Tuesday, January 2nd. According to the post they shared on Facebook, a deputy for Kootenai County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle for a routine traffic stop at I-90 and Pleasantview Road in Post Falls.

The deputy noticed the smell of pot coming from the vehicle which resulted in a probable cause search of the vehicle. Let's take a look at what the deputy found...

It's important to note that the driver, Amber was also arrested for her outstanding warrants. That's in addition to the various charges she and Joshua will be facing including "unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property (firearm), trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. "

While we're beyond grateful for the work of the law, it's quite sad to see people throw their lives away in an instant. On the other side of things, it's quite impressive how one routine traffic stop resulted in the first major drug bust in Idaho for 2024.
