First Look: Gorgeous New Aquatics Center At South Meridian YMCA
The Elton Family Aquatics Center at the Tomlinson South Meridian YMCA is the first new aquatics center to open in the Treasure Valley in 16 years, take a peak at this awesome facility!
The Downtown Boise YMCA opened back in 1968 and was the first YMCA aquatics center in the valley. This was a force to be reckoned with until 1995 when the West Boise YMCA and Aquatic Center opened up, which was, and is still a remarkable facility with multiple pools and several swim lanes to serve from beginner to competitive to masters and even for water aerobics. It truly is an incredible facility. In 2005, the Caldwell facility opened up and they have a great couple of pools as well.
Finally, this month, the Tomlin South Meridian YMCA finally opened up the Elton Family Aquatics Center and it is a beauty! Previously described as:
(a) 22,000-square-foot aquatic facility includes a lap pool, recreation and lesson pool, waterslide, lazy river, kiddie pool with beach entry, and an outdoor splashpad."
This is a world-class aquatics center at a beautiful new facility that's only three years old and will quickly become a Treasure Valley hot spot for families in the summer time AND in the winter time as it's an indoor facility that's sure to keep you safe from the hot summer sun and the cold winter elements. I reached out to the Treasure Valley YMCA and asked if we could shared some photos and they very kindly agreed to allow us. So here's your first look at the new Elton Family Aquatics Center at the Tomlinson South Meridian YMCA!
