Just a couple of nights previous in Eugene the 2nd ranked Oregon Ducks cruised past in state rival Oregon State in a top 10 women's basketball showdown in Eugene.

On Monday the two met again in round two of the civil war, this time in Corvallis and this time Oregon State pulled out the upset beating Oregon  67-62.

Ironically, all the votes for the Top 25 AP poll had been counted by the time the game ended so today Oregon remains #2 and Oregon State dropped from 9th to 12th despite the win!

Former Mountain View standout Destiny Slocum finished the game with 20 points and five of those points came in a critical stretch of the game.

OSU and Oregon were tied 52-all with 2:25 to play when Slocum hit a seven foot jump shot to give the Beavers a 54-52 lead. Slocum followed on the next possession with a three pointer from the corner to make it 57-52 Oregon State and the capacity crowd of better than 93-hundred came unhinged!

As a team, the Beavers shot 48 percent from the floor and held the Ducks to 35.8 percent shooting. Oregon State out-rebounded Oregon 39-30.

The win snapped the Ducks 17 game win streak.
