The Timberline High School football team is looking to come out and have a lot effort on the field this season along with trying to make the post season this season. Coach Copeland wants to play more relentlessly than they have in the past.

The Wolves are looking to be competitive the moment they hit the football field and have the chance to compete and win football games. Copeland feels if the Wolves do this in every game, it will give them an opportunity to make the post season. Some of the returners are making sure the Wolves accomplish their goals this season.

Justin Lavin (quarter back) and Terk Zimmerman (3 year starter wide receiver) are stepping up and are "trying to keep the kids going in the right direction along with demanding effort on the field and practice field." Some other notable returners for the Wolves include Manassee Monler (offensive line), Alex Gilbert (offensive line) and Chad Turner (offensive line).

The summer has been a busy one for the Wolves with 7 v 7 every Thursday morning getting in the weight room and conditioning. This is helping the Wolves prepare for their season opener.

When August 10th comes around Copeland is going to go through the install for the first three or four days then start breaking down their opponent, Meridian High School. Before the Wolves take the field against the Warriors, Copeland is hoping to strengthen the back end of their defense and make their offense more consistent.

As far as biggest competition goes for the Wolves, Copeland says, "There are no easy teams, and all the pod games are going to be competitive. There are a lot of kids and very good programs that are well coached."
