Sigh. So of the two wonderful fur-babes we have (*she says through gritted teeth*), only one makes mischief. It seems that despite our best, most consistent efforts to train her, our five-year-old female chocolate lab flies in the face of doggy convention. And she's got an attitude about it.

Toilet paper is a meal. Our daughter's Polly Pockets are chew toys. And my husband hugging me, or heaven forbid, kissing me, is cause for her to defecate on the spot in the kitchen.

Just this afternoon on my ride home from Boise to Star, my husband called me with news on her latest shenanigans: a chewed up dog bed. It got me thinking that it might be time to put her in one of these dog training schools. In truth, it's a thought I've had dozens of times before, but I kept hoping she would outgrow those undesirable quirks.
