Bet you didn't know that one of the biggest and most spectacular fireworks displays west of the Mississippi happens every year here in Idaho on the 4th of July.  It's true...bigger than anything in Portland, Seattle, California and it happens here in Idaho. Don't believe me? Check out the video of a past display

Yes, Idaho Falls has one of the biggest most spectacular 4th of July Fireworks shows in the United States.  If Idaho Falls is a little too far to drive, there are other jaw dropping fireworks shows that are a lot closer to the Treasure Valley.  Thanks to onlyinyourstate.com you can check all of them out here.

Keep in mind, that the Boise city fireworks usually held at Ann Morrison park has been moved to Expo Idaho, due to the flooding earlier this year. Plus you can also see fireworks this year next to Expo Idaho at Boise Hawks stadium after the games on the 2nd, 3rd and the 8th....wow, that's a lot of blowed up stuff in one week....yay for us!

You also can see some awesome fireworks in Canyon county...You've got the God and Country Festival in Nampa on June 28th.  Check out the Star, Middleton and Caldwell city fireworks....I've been to each of these over the years and all of them are pretty spectacular. You can park in the middle of the three cities and enjoy all of them at once...the cities are only separated by a few miles. Melba puts on an incredible Independence day celebration and  fireworks show if you want to drive a little.

There is a lot going on in the Treasure Valley, a little something for everyone...keep checking back as more details about events come in to Mix 106 we will continue to update this blog...and if you know of any events you'd like to be included, you can post them in the comment section or email us here at mikeandnicole@mix106radio.com.  Remember, be safe out there and please don't drink and drive...Happy Independence Day

In the mean time, why don't you see some of the past fireworks video shows from some of those cities...remember to celebrate freedom by blowing stuff up this 4th of July.
