Hamburgers cooked on the grill, cold drinks, fun music, and good friends are the essentials of a classic block party. Because of COVID last year, block parties were kind of non-existent last year. Let's bring them back and embrace them more than ever this year in Boise!

What you may or may not know is that the City of Boise is actually super supportive of neighborhoods throwing together a block parties. Through the Energize Our Neighborhoods imitative, the city offers resources to that encourage community members to plan block parties around a theme, season, or holiday and to also get creative with activities, games, food, contests, and prizes. This includes renting out the Energize Our Neighborhoods’ Block Party Trailer which is filled with all the supplies you need for a great community party.

The trailer has all the essentials needed to host a block party and more. Included in the trailer is:

6 Tables
28 Chairs
4 Water jugs
3 Ice chests
Trash and recycling bins
Safety cones
First aid kit
Fire extinguisher
Lawn games - corn hole, giant Jenga, sports equipment, sidewalk chalk, coloring books, ladder golf and hula hoops

The block party trailer is available for weekend events from May through October. Of course, you do have to book the trailer out by submitting a reservation request for your event or party. The trailer is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
