This Thursday, September 23rd, a tournament of champions will be taking place-- who is the BEST at Rock, Paper, Scissors? An $8,000 prize is on the line for the charity of the winner's choice! Not only will I get to be a part of it but so too will Nikki West of our sister station, WOW 104.3!

Between Nikki and I, there are two amazing organizations that could be receiving some serious cash-- all from a little game of rock, paper, scissors-- on a not-so-little stage!

Nikki has chosen Girls On The Run Treasure Valley to be the charity of her choice. This charitable effort which focuses on changing and developing the lives of young women is a favorite here in town. As their mission states:

At Girls on the Run we inspire ALL girls to build confidence and make intentional decisions, while fostering care and compassion for self and others. Trained coaches use physical activity and dynamic discussions to build social, emotional and physical skills in every girl while encouraging healthy habits for life.

Not only does the organization encourage girls to get out and be physically active--but also encourages girls to GET OUT THERE and be the leaders of tomorrow.

For my charity, I've chosen an educational foundation that made MY education possible and continues to do so for several students in the Treasure Valley.  The Saint Paul's Educational Foundation is a small organization ran by some of the most inspirational humans I have ever met. The organization works to raise and provide money to local students who wish to pursue an education at St. Paul's Catholic School, Bishop Kelly High School, or a college of their choice. This organization made my attendance at Bishop Kelly and Gonzaga University possible and I hope to help fund more student's educational goals.

You can join the fun on Thursday at Kleiner Park at 5:30 p.m.
