The Idaho Steelheads did what they came to Loveland to do and that was win at least one game against Colorado in their semi final Kelly Cup series with the Eagles.

Idaho took the series opener 4-2 on Friday before losing 2-1 in overtime on Saturday to even the series 1-1 as they head to Boise for games 3 and 4 and Friday.

Idaho never trailed in the series opener as Landon Bow stopped all 32 shots he faced to register his first professional playoff win.

In game two Saturday Idaho led 1-0 heading into the 3rd period. The Steelies were 31-2-4 during the regular season when leading after two periods but Colorado tied the game and then won it just 65 seconds into the overtime period when Matt Register beat Landon Bow on the glove side.

Idaho had several chances to put the game away but went 0-3 on power plays. The Steelheads are playing in their 20th consecutive playoffs, that's every year Idaho has been a franchise. Last years they lost to Allen in the first round and Allen went on the win the ECHL Kelly Cup title.
