I won't lie, in my head I still believe my guy will pull off an some incredible surprise where my favorite artist will show up and sing to us at our wedding next year.

But...as much as my favorite artist (Matt Nathanson) LOVES playing in Boise, I've accepted that we're not Jade and Tanner from The Bachelor (Matt performed on the ABC wedding special) and that Nate doesn't have the right music industry connections to pull it off.  It's never going to happen. ::sigh::The newlywed who managed to get Montell Jordan to surprise his wife at their reception most certainly DID have the right connections!

Ryan DeLuca is famous in the Treasure Valley for founding Bodybuilding.com and now runs a virtual reality gym experience company named Black Box.  He originally married his wife, Nelya. in the Swiss Alps last month, but the couple planned a second celebration for friends and family back in the United States.  That beautiful second wedding happened in Eagle on Saturday.

The couple used #thisishowwedoit as their wedding hashtag and choreographed their first dance to Montell's hit.  After the first chorus of the song, it appears that something "malfunctions" before the guests hear a prerecorded introduction from Flavor Flav welcoming Montell Jordan to the stage! Montell then comes out from behind a curtain to perform a special "Boise" version of "This is How We Do It" mashed up with the instrumental from Bruno Mars's "24K Magic."

So how did the surprise come together? One of Ryan's groomsmen just happened to be CTT Touring CEO and current Live Nation Mountain Region president, Creston Thornton. Creston's obviously got connections in the music world and was able to get a hold of a music agent friend to get Montell for the reception.

According to TMZ, Ryan covered a $10K appearance fee for Montell and all of his travel costs. That meant a private flight from Rome, to a performance in Vegas earlier in the day and eventually on to Boise. You could tell that Neyla and the couple's guests were shocked! Check out the video below!
