Kellen Moore is on to Coaching
We've been talking about the move for a couple of month now but there has never been an official announcement from the Dallas Cowboys that former Boise State standout Kellen Moore would join the Cowboys staff as a coach.
Well, there still hasn't been an official announcement but when Cowboys owner Jerry Jones speaks, people listen!
The Senior Bowl is this week in Mobile, Alabama and that's where Jones told the Dallas Morning News he had finalized a deal to make Moore the Cowboys new quarterback coach.
Jones then added he didn't want to get ahead of an overall announcement. That being the case it appears the cat is out of the bag.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott says that in Kellen's mind he's already an offensive coordinator so QB coach is a no brainer. Prescott claims Moore is a genius when it comes to reading defenses.
Moore was 50-3 as a starter for Boise State, spent six years in the NFL but appeared in just 3 games. His final game was in January of 2016 where he threw for 435 yards against the Washington Redskins.
A lot of Boise State fans were hoping Moore would become a Bronco coach once his playing days were over and that might well happen down the road but for now Kellen is still a Cowboy.
