Idaho has been going through a lot of changes in the recent years and a lot of them have been great. Between local businesses still booming and new stores and restaurants moving to Idaho it has been a whole lot of new new new. We have had a whole new In N Out, Lego Store, and Brandy Melville all a 15 minute drive from Boise. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why Boise ranked so high on the list of the best places to retire in America.

There are a whole lot of things that can lead to Boise being so high on the list and a lot of it has to do with the people of Boise. There’s so much to do just all within an hour of the city. Whether it’s floating the Boise River in the summer, skiing and snowboarding in Bogus Basin in the winter, hiking Table Rock in the spring, or visiting the pumpkin patch in fall, Boise has activities year round for everyone of every age to enjoy. And what's even cooler is that everyone is acknowledging how awesome Boise is!
Boise is the perfect mix of both nature and the outdoors and city life. Downtown Boise is all walkable with restaurants, bars, and concert venues that are both fun and provide great weekday and weekend entertainment. Just outside of downtown there’s rivers and mountains and lakes all ready to be explored by Idahoans. Not to mention that 12 other cities just hours away from Idaho have also landed on the list.
