Cyclist Prematurely Celebrates Win With One Lap to Go, Loses Race
Tour de California cyclist Eloy Teruel prematurely celebrated winning the race without realizing there was one more lap to go this past weekend. As a result, he fell behind the dozens of cyclists behind him peddling ferociously and finished in 56th place.
Fans and announcers tried to tell Teruel there was another lap left, but he was too hyped to notice.
Awkward.
