Hey Boise! Can I Raise a Few Arguments in Favor of California?
Yep, I'm doing it... I'm going there.
Let me start off by saying I haven't been in Idaho very long. In my short time, I have learned this state has a very big disdain for the state of California. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.
Now, maybe "disdain" is a bit harsh, but I've seen plenty of articles comparing our two states. For instance, this one about how we are better drivers in the state of Idaho than the state of California.
We even delighted in this article about a Californian who left a scathing review of our gorgeous state. That one left many of us wishing him
good riddance, err... I mean, well.
Before we get too far, I should probably mention that I grew up in California. I wasn't born there, but I spent many formidable years as a Cali girl. Obviously I don't live there now, but I can't hate on it entirely.
I also spent a few days there recently and it was quite enjoyable.
With that being said, I would like to make a few arguments in favor *gasp* of California. Maybe I'm still in that vacation afterglow... Or maybe I just want to highlight the good that can be found in that state.
3 Arguments in Favor of California
Did you notice that much of what I argued in favor for was cosmetic? The beach and the weather which no one could create or foster on their volition. Heck, they can't even control the quality of the seafood, but they do know how to prepare it.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that maybe our issues with California aren't really about the state itself. The terrain is unique and offers a little bit of everything.
Now when it comes to the people? Well, I leave that for you to debate. And don't worry, just because I spent some good time there over the course of my life, I won't be offended. Nah, to be offended would be too Californian of me...
