Borah-BK Neighborhood Brawl?
USA Today
Borah and Bishop Kelly High schools are right down the street from one another, have been for years but it's only been recently the two teams have played one another consistently. The two collide tonight at Donna Larsen Park in a game you can here on sports radio 630 The Fan. Former Boise State QB Jared Zabransky and I will have all the play by play at 7 p.m.
The creation of pod play opened the door for some cross over games like Bishop Kelly-Borah that made sense because there isn't enough room the neighborhood for two bragging rights!
So far BK has gotten the best having won 6 of the 7 games played between the two since 2001.
last week Borah lost to Capital 37-19 and while Capital was favored, the Lions came away from the game with a feeling they, not the Eagles, were their own worst enemy. New Borah coach Jason Burton told me the focus this week was on Borah, not so much BK and getting the Lions back to the way they have practiced all fall.
BK beat Kuna 35-31 when Can Foley scored a touchdown with 25 seconds to play.
so, it all shapes up as a neighborhood brawl tonight at DLP and we'll be on hand to bring you all the action on 630 The Fan.
