The season hasn't even started yet, and Boise State's quarterback is already winning.

No pressure Brett Rypien, but you're on a whole bunch of "watch lists," including that prestigious Manning Watch List named in honor of Peyton and Eli.

Brett Rypien had a great season last year, and this year he's one of 30 college quarterbacks to be named to the coveted Manning Watch List.  Peyton, Eli, and their dad Archie Manning will add mid-season finalists to the list in October, and announce the top ten finalists November 30th.  The winner will be named after the college football season ends, and it just might launch that guy into an NFL career.

And this isn't the only watch list that our Bronco quarterback finds himself on right now. Boise State says so far this preseason, Brett Rypien has been named a candidate for the Walter Camp Award, Maxwell Award, the Allstate AFCA Good Hands Team, the Wuerffel Trophy and the Davey O'Brien Award.

All of this means he's really good, expectations are high for him to have a great season, and Broncos fans should be very excited!  Does setting high expectations at work help you perform, or does it freak you out a little?  Brett is calm, cool, and collected about all of this and we expect him to do just fine.  But no pressure.

The Broncos kick off the season September 2nd at Albertsons Stadium against Troy.
