5A SIC Claims Top Three Spots in Boys Basketball

The first 5A high school basketball poll of 2020 is out and as expected Rocky Mountain is the number one team in 5A. The Grizzlies, 11-1, ended 2019 with a win over then No.1 Borah on December 27th and have waited until now to officially claim the top spot.

10-1 Borah is second followed by the surprise of the season the Meridian Warriors who also 10-1 are ranked third. Last Friday Meridian won a hard fought game at Boise broadcast live on 105.5 The Fan.

Post Falls at 12-3 and 11-1 Rigby complete the top 5A Top five.

In 4A hoops Middleton is number one at 8-2 followed by Preston 11-1. The vote was close though with the Vikings receiving 4 first place votes and Preston 3.

In 3A basketball Fruitland ranks on top with a 10-1 league record.

Coming up Friday on 105.5fm The Fan the McDonald's game of the week will feature Skyview at Centennial. The Patriots are 6-6 and hoping to climb above 500 when they host the 2-9 Hawks. Skyview, with some close finishes this year is looking to string a few wins together starting Friday at Centennial. Tip off approximately 7:30 pm on 105.5 The Fan.
