4A Tops 5A Twice as Idaho Boys Open Basketball Season

The Idaho boys high school basketball season began Tuesday night with a pair of 4A teams beat 5A opponents.

Skyview took Mountain View to overtime beating the Mavericks 81-76. Meantime the Middleton Vikings outlasted the Capital Eagles 53-51. Both games were played on 4A courts.

630 The Fan will begin live high school basketball broadcasts January 5th with Borah at Mountain View. Borah is ranked in the pre-season top five and opened their season with a 79-51 win at Vallivue.

Girls basketball has been underway for a couple of weeks now and Eagle is ranked #1 and they remained unbeaten at 5-0 with a 62-44 win over Timberline.

Other finals included: #3 Mountain View over Meridian 52-28, 4th ranked Centennial topped Rocky Mountain 52-28 and  #5 Borah beat Kuna 49-32.
