If you've lived in Idaho for more than a few minutes, this won't require explaining to you. For everyone else, a very quick refresher:

People are moving from California to Idaho in droves. More specifically, the Treasure Valley and Boise in particular. This has resulted in increased traffic, housing costs, longer lines at checkout, and some Idahoans being outraged that folks from another state would try to come in and change things.

But, what if it were the other way around?

What if in this timeline of the multiverse, it was Idahoans relocating by the thousands to The Golden State? Well, California would definitely need something to give it a little bit of that Idaho vibe, and we have just the thing in mind:

What says "Idaho" more than an oversized potato being dropped by a crane to signify the beginning of a new year? Literally nothing.

Think about it. For years, Idaho has taken it on the chin when it comes to terrible, awful potato jokes. Yes, we get it. We grow and sell a lot of potatoes. It really isn't that funny. But wouldn't it be hilarious to see the faces of our friends on the west coast as they realize a mutant-sized spud is actually high in the sky on New Years Eve?

Logistically, it's probably a lot of work to get that thing over there. Maybe we can make another one? Grow one? Did we grow that? We have a lot of questions.
