Idaho Students Warned Against Dangerous New Social Media Trend
As we learned this week, some people do not know that "XIV" means "14" in Roman Numerals. It's just a basic thing that we had assumed everyone understood.
What you're about to read is another of those very, very basic things that should be understood. Is that stopping students from participating in this ridiculous (and dangerous) social media trend? Of course it's not.
What dangerous social media prank?
Idaho teachers and staff are on watch, and warning parents of students about a potentially very dangerous social media "prank" that's currently making the rounds.
We can't believe we're even saying this. The prank involves inserting metal items into USB ports of school devices to purposely cause damage. Yes, you read that 100% correct.
Remember when we were kids, and you'd see cartoon characters stick a fork into an electrical outlet? This is the 2025 version of that.
Obviously, there are numerous reasons why you shouldn't tamper with electronic school equipment, with the risk of starting a fire coming to mind at the moment.
Please, talk to your kids about why this "prank" could possibly land them in prison. Also, whatever happened to stealing the principal's car and putting it on the roof of the gym?

Okay, so at least with this prank, nobody started a fire or destroyed school equipment.
At least, not that we're aware of:
