It doesn't matter if you've lived in the State of Idaho for a few months, a few years, or your whole life. There are some things that are universally accepted as 'so Idaho'.

We don't know why, we don't know how, but everyone just gets it.

Coming up this November is a 'midterm' election and ballots will be filled out all across Idaho and the nation. There's nothing silly or funny about election season. Elections have consequences and here in Idaho, you will see names, propositions, resolutions, and...guns?

There it is.

Even on our ballots, we're identifying that 'SO IDAHO' thing and yes, you will even be voting on it.

Idaho's ballot this November is asking voters to select a 'State Gun'. If you grew up here, you will remember Idaho History classes; memorizing the Star Garnett and the Mountain Bluebird.

Apparently we were missing something all along. The gun?

The Idaho ballot will feature six guns for voters to choose from as the Official Idaho State Gun

Voting In Idaho This Fall Just Got Interesting With This Random Ballot Item

Of all things to make a ballot, only in Idaho would there be...guns?

If you're a gun person, you may know a whole lot about all of these.

The author of this article? Never heard of any of them.

It's far from political, but we do find it slightly humorous that something like this is would be on a ballot.

Did we mention...only in Idaho?

The ballot outlines the purpose of the House Bill that you will be voting on:

This advisory question asks Idahoans to designate which gun they would like to have as the official Idaho State Gun. This is a non-binding measure, and the Legislature would have to take action during a future legislative session to officially designate a gun as the Idaho State Gun

Which gun will you choose?

All sarcasm aside, voting is EXTREMELY important here in Idaho, and the State of Idaho has a comprehensive, NON PARTISAN, voter guide.
