Boise Got a Magical Visit From Disney’s Mickey Mouse This Morning

It's the most magical event of the entire year here in the Treasure Valley: the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic.

Each year, dozens of hot air balloons launch into the Boise sky from Ann Morrison Park--where hundreds gather to see the magic. Perhaps even more amazing is the sight of these balloons from all across downtown Boise and the bench area. It's a perfectly photogenic event that takes over social media feeds annually, showcasing Boise's beauty.

A surprise celebrity guest appeared out of the pilot's briefing tent this morning--and the crowd went crazy!

Talk about a fun and unexpected sighting! 

Disney had a beautiful '70th Anniversary' balloon at the festival this year--which is amazing in itself. Mickey was a complete surprise.

There is something magical about the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic. During the week, there are early morning balloon launches that hundreds gather to watch--how often do you get to see something like that!? Then, on Friday evening, the iconic 'Night Glow' event offers an up close and personal view of the Spirit of Boise's balloons, inflating and lighting up from the ground, in the dark of night! It's amazing!
